MED4PED

MED4PED foresees the development of an integrated system supporting decision-making through data analysis and virtual-reality simulation: this allows to anticipate the outcomes of walking experience, and related solutions from an objective and perceptual point of view. The interdisciplinary methodology will be developed thanks to the competences of the group with the application to significant pilot cases. The proposed solution will be based on the mobility simulation experiences of research laboratories.

The goal of the project is the construction of a platform for an intelligent vehicle that serves as a basic platform for the development of a fully autonomous vehicle. ADAS systems (advanced driver assistance systems) monitor the psychological and physical state of the driver and passengers, obstacles and people on the road and make driving easier for the disabled. They also interact with other vehicles and with a control infrastructure.

The project involves the development of a personalized and interactive human-vehicle interface both for automatic vehicle adjustment (interior ergonomics, driving settings, infotainment), and for the contents made available to the driver and passengers (projected assisted driving functions on the vehicle windscreen, personalized GIS information, wearable personal assistant that monitors the state of attention / wakefulness, correct posture, general health status).
